North Star Roaring Fork River Float - June 18

Description

Take a gentle, morning float through important wildlife habitat in North Star Nature Preserve with Roaring Fork Conservancy and Pitkin County Open Space & Trails. We’ll provide some history of North Star, and discuss wildlife highlights and recent restoration activities during this two-hour float. This float is appropriate for ages 14 and up..

Floats are dependent on river flows and may be cancelled due to extremely high or low flows
, or may be shortened due to beaver or moose activity..

An inflatable kayak (ducky), paddle, and PFD are provided for each participant. Please dress appropriately (no cotton; close-toed shoes that tightly hug the heel - no cros or flip flops) as the float will happen rain or shine. 

This program is underwritten by Pitkin County Open Space & Trails with support from Blazing Adventures.
 

REGISTRATION is required and opens May 28, 2026.
Program Cost: $10 

This is a morning float starting at 10am.

Program is limited to 10 participants.
